No fun in heaven, but a party in hell?

Every single human on earth has looked at nature and said at least once, that it was beautiful. We Christians look at nature (God’s Creation) and can be in wonder and awe at how beautiful and intricate it can be. If it is so beautiful on Earth and it is corrupted, can you imagine what an uncorrupted heaven will be like?

Growing up as a Gen Zer and in this specific culture, I have heard many claims that hell will “just be a party” or “see ya there” like hell is nothing, like hell is going to be “heaven” for them. In reality, Scripture faces us with a terrible fact, hell won’t be a party.

Matthew 13:49-50 says, “This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous ****and throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Revelation 21:8 says “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.

Hell is depicted to be a terrible place where souls are separated from God, where there is suffering and pain.

Now let’s look at what scripture says about Heaven.

Revelation 7:14-17 says, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore, “they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will shelter them with his presence. ‘Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; ‘he will lead them to springs of living water. ’And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”

Heaven is not only going to be beautiful, but it is a place where there will be no more pain, suffering, sadness, or death. It is an eternal place in the presence of our Heavenly Father who is “preparing a room for us” (John 14:2-4).

John 14:2-4: “My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Application: Because we know this, we should strive to live so we can get to heaven to be with Jesus Christ forever.

This means if you haven’t already, ask Jesus to come into your heart and accept Him as Lord and Savior of your life. Trust me, it will be the best decision you will ever make.
