A poem by Lynn

Breathing in the silence I could hear His quiet whisper.

My skin began to prickle as the air grew crisper.

The fog swirled and spun to reveal a vision,

The beginning of Creation showing His provision,

For mankind, the most beautiful thing,

Reminding me my Lord is King.

He formed the stars with His Hands,

He shaped the hills, mountains, and lands.

He breathed life into the dust of the earth,

Created Adam and Eve and brought childbirth.

Though rebellion was ignited by the slithering snake.

The Fall of Creation entered in a troubling wake.

Sin and death however did not win,

God had a plan, and He knew how to begin.

For the Lord was loving and lowly,

He sent His Son who was spotless and Holy,

To die an agonizing death, I should endure.

Yet, His blood washes clean and makes me pure.
